1979: Founding of the company.
NEURA is one of the first manufacturers of heat pumps which also offers planning and installations. The cornerstone for a successful company history is laid.
1980: Already at that time NEURA stood out from the crowd thanks to its knowledge and practical experience in heating, electronics and electric technology sectors. In 1980 the company specialised in service and assembly of Mitsubishi heat pumps. The development and manufacture of the company's own new geothermal heat pump with a performance factor of 5 was a breakthrough in 1989.
1994: Constant and further innovative developments of heating systems had necessitated an expansion of the plant site and an increase in employee numbers. In 1994 a heat pump with the chlorine-free cooling medium R290 was developed, with a performance factor of 5.5. Further patents followed.
1997: The plant building had to be expanded by 1500 sq m in order to respond to the ever growing interest in heat pumps.
2001: The product range is supplemented by an innovative residential space ventilation system. Constant developments in the area of geothermal energy, heat pumps, ventilation and electric technology led to breakthrough developments in the area of smart home technologies.
2005: Opening of the heat pump competence centre in St. Stefan in Carinthia, Austria.
Markus Scherzer becomes the head of NEURA Haustechnik GmbH and opens a regional sales branch in Carinthia: 'If we are closer to the customer, we are able to react more quickly to their individual wishes!'
2006: First place for the most efficient heat pump.
The NEURA heat pumps, with their unbeatable efficiency, were outstanding in the competition for the innovative energy-saving buildings of 2006.
2007: NEURA opens first retail location in Germany.
On Thursday, September 13th 2007, the new retail location in Raubling near Rosenheim in Germany's Bavaria opens its doors. In this way NEURA reacts to the fast-growing demand for innovative heat pump systems in Bavaria. Further competence centres in Germany and Austria are to be planned.
2010: The company expands further domestically and internationally, and gains for this purpose partner companies in France and England. NEURA counts today among the leading companies in the heat pump industry.
2011: The NEURA NDA air heat pump - the most quiet and most efficient air heat pump on the market.
Thanks to a COP of 4.3, our air heat pump was certified as the most efficient air heat pump by a certification body (AIT, the Austrian Institute of Technology).
2011: Climate Change Capital invests in NEURA. CCC invests € 8 million in NEURA. The investment supports NEURA's vision of becoming Europes leading supplier of high performance heat pumps.
2011: As of October 1, the NEURA GmbH becomes a public limited company (NEURA AG). The newly founded NEURA Haustechnik GmbH performs the installation of NEURA's heat pumps in Austria.
2012: Formation of the NEURA Deutschland GmbH in Mainz/Germany.
2012: Introduction of the ISO 9001:2008 certification. Official presentation of the certificate is on February 29, 2012.
